Dr. Koushik C is a legal academician, researcher and academic administrator with 8 years of teaching experience in Law and experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, student mentoring, research and institutional development. He currently serves as the Principal of the School of Law, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University), Kolar, Karnataka. His curriculum vitae records eight years of teaching experience in Law and his present role as Principal.
Dr. Koushik Chidgal Gowda hails from Sullia in Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka. He completed his schooling at St. Aloysius Institutions, Mangaluru, Karnataka. He pursued his undergraduate studies in Law (B.A.,LL.B.Hons) from JSS Law College, Mysuru, Karnataka, and obtained his Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) from SDM Law College, Mangaluru, Karnataka. He was awarded his Ph.D. in 2020 for his research titled “Modern Judicial Trend for Implementation of Human Rights.”
His academic and research interests encompass Human Rights Law, Constitutional Law, Medical Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Corporate and Commercial Law, International Human Rights Law, Artificial Intelligence and Law, Legal Governance, Gender Justice and Sustainable Development.

Dr. Koushik C has been actively involved in moot court competitions, trial advocacy, legal drafting, Model United Nations programmes, seminars, workshops and human-rights initiatives. He was selected as Moot Coordinator at JSS Law College, Mysuru, for 2016–2017 and has participated in several national-level academic activities.
