Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College a constituent of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, its alumni association has been registered on 27th September 2004; as old students association with registration No.: 89/2004-2005 in the registrar of societies, Govt. of Karnataka in accordance to 1960, Karnataka Society Registration act. Alumni associations exist to support the parent organization’s goals and to strengthen the ties between alumni, the community, and the parent organization. The Core Principles of our Alumni association are Desire to be service-minded, innovative, and resourceful. Dedication towards building strong alumni relations. Determination to go beyond what is expected for Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College. Discipline to be committed towards high standards of integrity and solidarity.

Objectives:

• To conduct scientific sessions to keep abreast of the developments in the field of health care delivery systems.
• To encourage and support the alumni of this Institution to identify the societal impact of disease and to find remedial measures.
• To conduct training programs for the students by the alumni who have excelled in academics globally and to enrich the alumni to be competitive globally.
• As a part of social commitment to society to conduct rural health programs like – Blood donation, screening eye camp, hearing aid camp, etc.
• To encourage education, art, science, and cultural activities on the campus and disseminate the same in the community.
• Concessional treatment for economically weaker section, orphanages, physically and mentally challenged population, and superannuated supporting staff of Institution.
• To be a part of the healthcare team through manpower assistance during natural calamities.

Alumni are the mirrors that reflect the image of an institution to which they belong and to foster a spirit of allegiance and promote the general welfare of an institute. The students who passed out from this institution are likely to keep in touch with their alma mater and to know about the recent developments on the campus. This platform provides an immense network of professional contacts that would make them proud on exchanges with their colleagues that their alma-mater cares for them. It acts as a link between the alumni and the alma mater. The Alumni network will enable the current students to seek guidance from their seniors in career guidance, placements, and academic advancements. The alumni association has entered into an MoU in the year 2020 with DAMS (Delhi Academy of Medical Sciences) a center of coaching for the PG NEET entrance examination, to enable the MBBS graduate Students in preparing for PG NEET entrance during their MBBS course. As a mark of gratitude to their Teachers and Doctors serving the society, every year the association celebrates Teacher’s Day on 5th September and Doctor’s Day on 1 st July. The Alumni cell keeps updating the records of the alumni regarding the changes in their profile. Alumni can register themselves and keep updating their activities. Their active participation and support in the activities of the SDUAHER/SDUMC Alumni Association will help us work together to take the academy to progress in the years to come. We look forward to seeking constant feedback and suggestions from alumni on the website to carry forward this initiative. Let’s bridge the gaps and come closer through this portal.
