Central Research Lab Overview

The University has setup Central Research Laboratory in pursuance of its vision to promote interdisciplinary research in the areas of basic and clinical sciences.

The Centre is equipped with experimental facilities for research in the area of Genomics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Cytogenetics and Phytochemistry. The Centre is housed in a dedicated centrally air-conditioned area of 8000 square feet.

The Centre is managed by the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics comprising a team of 1 professor emeritus, 3 Senior Scientists, 4 Research Assistants and 1 Adjunct faculty.

The Centre has established collaborations with Institutions of Excellence and Industries for advanced research.

Scientific and technical resources of the Centre are utilised by Ph.D. scholars, Junior Research Fellows, P.G. students (for dissertation/project work) and by U.G. students (for ICMR STS projects).

Research activities of the Centre has resulted in patents and publications in indexed journals.
