About Me

I am a PhD Research Scholar in the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics (CBMG), Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research (SDUAHER), Kolar, India.

My doctoral research, titled "Apoptosis and Ferroptosis Effect of Endophytic Fungal Filtrates on Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cell Lines: An In Vitro Study," focuses on investigating the anticancer potential of bioactive metabolites derived from endophytic fungi and elucidating the molecular mechanisms of apoptosis and ferroptosis in oral squamous cell carcinoma.

My research integrates in-vitro cell culture, molecular biology, and bioinformatics approaches, including cytotoxicity screening, oxidative stress analysis, gene and protein expression studies, and pathway analysis. I have hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and other molecular and cellular biology techniques routinely employed in cancer research.

As part of my PhD training, I have actively contributed to postgraduate teaching by handling practical sessions for M.Sc. and M.D. students. I have also assisted in conducting laboratory practical’s for internship students and provided practical demonstrations and hands-on laboratory training to students other institutions who attended workshops and an internship organized by our department. These experiences have strengthened my technical expertise, mentoring skills, and laboratory teaching abilities.

My research interests include cancer biology, molecular oncology, regulated cell death mechanisms, natural product-based drug discovery and bioinformatics. Through my work, I aim to contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies for oral cancer and to advance the understanding of apoptosis–ferroptosis crosstalk in cancer biology.
