Mr. Rajendraprasad K M, B.A., LL.B., LL.M., is an Assistant Professor of Law who hails from Kotturu, Malur, in Kolar District, Karnataka. He completed his schooling at Government High School, Doddanayakanahalli, before pursuing his undergraduate studies in Law (B.A., LL.B.) at Government Law College, Arahalli, Kolar. He subsequently pursued a 2 year LL.M. in Constitutional Law at Manasagangothri, University of Mysore, where he completed his dissertation titled “Rights of Persons with Differently Abled: The Need for Constitutional Protection".
He began his academic career at Basavashree Law College, Kolar, and later joined the School of Law, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Tamaka, Kolar. Throughout his academic journey, he has been dedicated to imparting quality legal education and shaping socially responsible legal professionals.
His contributions include curriculum development, academic planning, and student mentoring. He emphasizes experiential learning through activities such as moot courts, legal aid clinics, district court visits, police station visits, and jail visits, enabling students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical legal experiences.
As the Convener of the NSS Unit, he successfully organized and conducted a one week NSS camp and a one day NSS review camp, fostering values of social service, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and responsibility among students. He has also served as Faculty Coordinator for the Cultural Committee, contributing to the institution’s participation and success in various cultural activities and competitions.
His academic interests include Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Labour Law, and related areas of legal studies. His academic engagement, particularly in the field of constitutional protection and the rights of persons with disabilities, reflects his commitment to promoting equality, dignity, and social justice.
