The Department of HPB & Liver Transplant Surgery, SDUMC, SDUAHER, in collaboration with SOTTO Karnataka, successfully organized a Guest Lecture on “One Donor, Many Lives – Understanding the Journey of Organ Donation” on 2nd September 2026 at Dr. B.C. Roy Hall, Library Block.

The programme provided comprehensive insights into organ donation, donor identification and management, brain-stem death certification, legal and ethical aspects, grief counselling, and organ retrieval and transplantation.

The session brought together healthcare professionals and participants to promote greater awareness and understanding of organ donation and transplantation, reinforcing SDUAHER’s commitment to advancing clinical expertise and community awareness.
