Karnataka State Chess Association in Collaboration with Sri Devraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research has organised R L Jalappa Open and Age Category Rapid Chess Tournament for Under 7, Under 10, Under 13 , Under 16 and Open Category at Sri Devraj Urs Medical College on 6th July 2025. More than 100 participants from all over the State and Neighbouring states took part in the Event. The event was Inaugurated by Dr Muninarayana C, Hon Registrar, SDUAHER, Mr. Suresh Babu, Vice President of Karnataka State Chess Association, Chief Arbiter Murugadundaram, Sports Convener Dr Sunil B N and under 9 National Silver Medalist Miss. Nakshatra graced and Inaugurated the Event.
