Conducting and publishing health research is an essential endeavor for students, researchers,
and academic institutions. It contributes to the advancement of knowledge, informs policy, and
drives improvements in public health. However, the path to publication is often complex, time-
consuming, and fraught with challenges. Studies show that 6–60% of manuscripts are rejected
by journals, frequently due to issues that can be addressed through early guidance and
adherence to established best practices.

In response to these challenges, this workshop was organized to highlight the most critical best
practices in health research publication. It aimed to equip researchers with practical strategies to
enhance the quality and impact of their work, increasing their chances of successful publication.
In addition to expert guidance, the session also gathered valuable input from participants
regarding their specific goals and obstacles. These insights will be used to tailor future
workshops and resources to better meet the evolving needs of the research community.
