The R.L. Jalappa Institute of Oncology, a constituent unit of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, cordially greeted its second cohort of first-year postgraduate students in the department of Surgical Oncology through an orientation cum inauguration program. This significant event took place on the 6th of September 2025, hosted within the College campus premises. Esteemed dignitaries from the Academy adorned the occasion with their presence. Notably, the distinguished presence of Dr. Sharad Desai, Consultant Surgical Oncologist and Director of Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital, Miraj, Maharashtra, added to the prestige of the event as the chief guest.
