Department of Physiology, SDUMC is conducting a guest lecture on 21-09-2023, Alzheimer's Day between 12:00 to 1:00 PM. The theme for Alzheimer's Day this year is "Never too early, Never too Late". This campaign aims to understand the pivotal role of identifying risk factors and adopting proactive risk reduction measures to delay, and potentially even prevent, the onset of dementia.

The guest speaker is Dr Latha Velayudhan, Clinical Reader in Ageing and Dementia Studies, Department of Old Age Psychiatry, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), Kings College London (KCL), United Kingdom.

She will talk on “Dementia Risk and Prevention:Are we there yet?”
