Glaucoma is a Silent Thief of Sight” continues to be a second most common cause
for blindness in urban and rural population after cataract. It is a group of eye disorders
that lead to progressive damage to the optic nerve, characterized by loss of nerve tissue
resulting irreversible loss of vision. To tackle this problem, creating awareness among
general population is very essential. On this global occasion and with the theme
“Uniting for a Glaucoma Free World” department of Ophthalmology had organised a
CME program on Practice patterns in Glaucoma highlighting the diagnosis, vis visual
field interpretation, role of OCT & OCTA, medical and surgical management of the
same which was a practical guideline for everyone.
