The workshop on grant writing, organizing by the Research and Development Cell, SDUAHER, aims to
equip faculty members with the essential knowledge and skills required to craft successful research
proposals and secure grants from both government and non-government funding agencies. The program
covers key topics such as understanding grant sources, including identifying potential funders from
government agencies, foundations, and corporations. It also focuses on developing effective writing
techniques to help participants create clear, persuasive, and engaging proposals that capture reviewers’
attention. Additionally, the workshop provides guidance on the structure of a grant proposal, including
crucial components like the executive summary, needs statement, goals and objectives, methodology,
budget, and evaluation plan. Participants will also gain insights into preparing realistic budgets that align
with project goals and funder requirements. The session will conclude with discussions on faculty
proposals, offering valuable suggestions for improvement and enhancing their chances of success.
