Translational Research is a rapidly growing discipline in biomedical research. It aims
to expedite the discovery of new diagnostic tools and treatments by using a multi-
disciplinary, highly collaborative, "bench-to-bedside" approach. This interdisciplinary
collaborative science is essential to better understand disease pathophysiology and develop
therapies to improve health and quality of life

The need for Translational Research arises as there are many compelling reasons to
nd cost-effective solutions to healthcare delivery. Increased complexity in biomedical
research has distanced the laboratory from clinical scientists, and thus there is a need for
clinical scientists who can serve as facilitators of the translational process. In this regard, the
Department of Research and Development Cell of SDUAHER planned to conduct the
conference to narrow this gap and facilitate the researchers and clinicians to exchange
ideas, seek expert inputs, and develop solutions to improve the quality of mankind
