Event Report: Movie Night “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban” at SDUMC Date: November 21, 2024

Organized by: Filmix, movie Club of Cultural Committee, Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College (SDUMC)

Overview: The Cultural Committee of SDUMC organized Movie night as a part of Harry Potter Movie Marathon as committed in the calendar of events. The third movie “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban” movie was played.

Attendance: The event was attended by the MBBS students, Postgraduates and Faculty of SDUMC. The auditorium setup, complete with comfortable seating and a high-quality projector, created an ideal setting for an engaging movie experience.

Program Highlights:

1. Welcome Address: The evening began with a warm welcome by a representative from the Cultural Committee. Bringing back the experience of magic to air was the motto.

2. Movie Screening - The screening of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban”3'^d in the series, fictional movie bought the experience of Magical world and entertained the students.

3. Discussion and Reflections: After the screening, the floor was opened for a brief discussion where students were encouraged to share their thoughts. Students enjoyed the movie and wanted to continue to complete the marathon of series. All were very curious to attend the final quiz of the marathon.

Feedback and Reception: The response from students was overwhelmingly positive. Students appreciated the idea of Marathon and quiz.

Conclusion: Movie Night was a great success, and shall continue to complete the series. The Filmix, movie Club of Cultural Committee, looks forward to hosting more such events to support and encourage students throughout their time at SDUMC.
