A Guest lecture titled “REINVENTING HUMAN VALUES- NEED OF THE HOUR” was organized by NAAC 7 Criterion on 24 th April, 2023 from 2: 30 pm to 4:00 pm at University Auditorium, SDUAHER for all teaching staffs and students including Medical, Allied health and Basic Sciences and Nursing college. The resource person for the guest lecture was Dr. D Venkatesh, Professor of Medical Education, Former Professor & Head of Dept of Physiology, M S Ramaiah Medical College Bangalore”. Dr. Chaitra M C as a task force member of Criterion 7, welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest speaker. Dr. Usha G Shenoy sang the invocation song. Dr. D Venkatesh shared his knowledge and concepts on Human values.  He spoke of highly valued characteristics of a person such as bravery, integrity, empathy, kindness, courage and confidence using examples from mythology, that each one of the students must possess. The session was highly insightful and enlightened the students with the importance of human values in their life. Dr. Prabhakar K, Principal, SDUMC, Dr. KNV Prasad, Director of Quality & Compliance and Dr. Suresh T N, Convener of NAAC 7 Criterion felicitated Dr. D Venkatesh with a memento and a certificate. Dr. K Prabhakar, Principal gave a concluding speech appreciating the guest speaker’s efforts for sharing his thoughts. Lastly Mr. Lokeshwar delivered vote of thanks.
