Symposium on Preventive Health was organized on 9th August 2023 in which Dr Suvetha K, Professor, Dept.Community Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician, Dr Rajendiran G, Professor and Head, Dept. Preventive Cardiology, Dr Ramamoorthy, Professor and Head, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mr Parthibhan Alagappan, Senior physiotherapist and In charge of PSG Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation Centre and Ms Sushmitha Sushrut, Counselling psychologist, Cardiology Department, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore delivered expert talks. Smt.Mrunalini, Trustee, SDUET inaugurated the Preventive Cardiology Unit, in RL Jalappa Hospital and Research Centre, in the illustrious presence of Dr Chandrashekar Shetty, Advisor, SDUAHER, Dr Prabhakar K , Dean and Principal, SDUMC, Dr Krishnappa, Medical Superintendent, RLJH&RC and Dr Vinutha Shankar, Vice Principal, SDUMC. The Symposium was followed by an intensive brainstorming between the core team members and the guest speakers, to discuss the functioning of the Preventive Cardiology Unit in RLJHRC.
