Health Event | Year - 2024 2025 | 24 Apr, 2024

World Health Day observed on April 7th each year. This year the me ”My health, My right “ to
prioritize health equity and ensuring that no one is left behind. To protect right to health as a basic human
right.

On April 8th, 2024, the Department of Community Medicine marked World Health Day by
conducting IAPSM World Health Day QUIZ 2024 for final year MBBS students at Sri Devaraj URS
Medical College, led by Dr. Pradeep T S, Associate Professor and RHTC Incharge.

Commencing at 10 AM, Dr. Prasanna Kamath B T (Professor and HoD) Dept of community
medicine addressed the welcome speech by enlightening all with this years theme “My health, My right
“followed by Health speech given by Dr K N Prabhakar (Principal). He addressed about the importance
of health as each one fundamental right and promoting right to health as an intrinsic pillar of our broader
human rights.

By 10.30 am, the Grand Quiz was held which consist of 4 rounds and all students actively
participated .The audience too was enthused with the excitement in giving answers. The Quiz session
concluded with the final distribution of prices and certificates which was given by Dr Vinutha Shankar
(Vice Principal).

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks given by Dr Aiswarya Lily Ray(Post graduate)
