| WORLD DIETETICS DAY WORKSHOP | The Department of Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research (SDUAHER), Tamaka, Kolar, successfully organized a Workshop on the occasion of World Dietetics Day on 12 January 2026 at Sir C. V. Raman Auditorium, SDUAHER, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The workshop was conducted under the theme “From Microbiome to Metabolism: Exploring the Gut–Organ Axes in Chronic Diseases”, emphasizing the evolving role of gut microbiota in health and disease, particularly chronic metabolic disorders | Around 77 students and 7 faculties had gathered for the program |
| ORIENTATION PROGRAM | The Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics organized an Orientation Programme for newly admitted students to introduce them to the curriculum, academic regulations, departmental facilities, and institutional code of conduct. The programme aimed to help students adapt to the academic environment and understand professional responsibilities. Faculty members guided students on academic planning, discipline, ethical practices, and career opportunities in nutrition and dietetics. | A total of 75 participants attended the Orientation Programme, including undergraduate students from the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. The programme was conducted with the active involvement of faculty members, Ph.D. scholars, and departmental staff, who guided and interacted with the students throughout the sessions |
| NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH | Every year, the month of September is observed as National Nutrition Month (“Poshan Maah”) across India, under the initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, to raise awareness about the importance of nutrition and to promote healthy dietary practices among all age groups. The initiative focuses on improving nutritional outcomes for children, adolescents, pregnant women, and lactating mothers through education, community participation, and behavior change communication. | A total of 75 participants attended the program, including 45 Anganwadi workers, along with faculty members, Ph.D. scholars, and undergraduate students from the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. |
| NUTRIBODYCON | A national conference titled “NutriBodyCon 2025 – Body Composition Analysis Across the Clinical Spectrum” was conducted by the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics on June 27, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Silver Jubilee Auditorium, SDUAHER. The event commenced with an inauguration ceremony in the esteemed presence of Shri J. Rajendra, Honorable Vice President of SDUET; Dr. B. Vengamma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of SDUAHER; Dr. D.V.L.N. Prasad, Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Muninarayana C, Registrar; Dr. Arvind Natarajan, Dean of the Faculty of Allied and Healthcare Professions; Dr. Prabhakar K, Principal and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, SDUMC; and Dr. Krishnappa J, Medical Superintendent of RLJH&RC. Following the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment, the welcome address was delivered by Dr. Shivakumara C.S., I/c HoD, Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. The dignitaries addressed the audience, emphasizing the evolving role of body composition analysis (BCA) in healthcare, chronic disease management, and personalized nutrition, and encouraged students to engage in innovative, interdisciplinary research. | The conference witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 300 delegates, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, Ph.D. scholars, faculty members, and practicing dieticians from reputed institutions such as Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Hillside College of Physiotherapy, SNR Medical College, Padmashree Institute of Management and Sciences, Manipal Hospitals,, and various departments of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research. |

| WORLD FOOD DAY RALLY | The Rally was conducted by the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics on 18-10-2023 from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM with the theme ‘Water is Life, Water is Food, Leave no one behind’ The event began with the rally from MG Road Kolar to R L Jalappa OPD, by chanting slogans and distributing pamphlets giving awareness to the people on importance of saving water for maintain food security. | Thirty two participated in the program, including me, II UG and me, II PG students and faculty members along the people residing in Kolar. |
| GUEST LECTURE ON BUILDING CAREER IN NUTRITION: SKILLS AND GOALS | The guest lecture was conducted by the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics on 12-01-2024 from 10 AM to 12.00 PM. Chief guest Dt. Arpita P Clinical Nutritionist and holistic health coach, certified sports nutritionist ,diabetes educator and allied health care professional has taken a lecture on topic “Building career in nutrition: skills and goals”. | Forty participants gathered for the guest lecturer, including UG, PG students, Ph.D scholars, and CND faculty members. |

| CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR CELEBRATION | In view of this, the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics celebrated Christmas and New Year 2026 on [03/01/2026 at Nutrition Department (CND). The celebration was organized to foster a spirit of joy, unity, and goodwill among students and staff. The program included cultural activities, sharing of festive messages, and interactions that emphasized values of togetherness, compassion, and gratitude, marking the festive season in a meaningful and joyful manner. | Staff – 9 Students – 60 |
| FRESHER’S DAY | The Department of Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics organized a warm and vibrant Freshers’ Day celebration on 25th November 2025 to welcome the new batch of students of Clinical Nutrition And Dietetics & Food Science and Technology for the academic year 2025–2026. The event was planned with the objective of creating a welcoming atmosphere for the juniors and encouraging meaningful interaction among students and faculty members. | The cultural segment of the programme showcased the diverse talents of the students. A series of dance performances and musical presentations added energy and colour to the celebration. The creativity and enthusiasm displayed by the performers were appreciated by everyone present, and the segment helped uplift the spirit of the event. |

The event aimed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of India and promote the spirit of unity in diversity among students.
