1. Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours)
The Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) program prepares students to become competent nutrition professionals equipped with strong scientific knowledge, applied skills, and clinical and community nutrition competencies.
The curriculum integrates biological sciences, therapeutic nutrition, food science, public health nutrition, and hands-on laboratory training, as highlighted in the department

Eligibility Criteria (as per NCAHP norms)

  • Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with 50 % Marks & English.
  • Admission on the basis of Senior Secondary (10+2) Merit.

Duration of the course

The Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) undergraduate degree program is of four years duration including a compulsory internship

Duration of the course 4 years or 8 semesters.

Total hours 3735 (theory + practical +internship)

Semesters An academic year consists of two semesters

2. Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics The Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics program offers advanced training in clinical nutrition, therapeutic dietetics, community health, food service management, and research methodology. It aims to develop specialists capable of delivering evidence-based nutrition care in hospitals, public health programs, research institutions, and the food industry.

Eligibility Criteria as per NCAHP Norms

  • Candidates must have passed Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) / B.Sc Nutrition and Dietetics / B.Sc Food and Nutrition on regular mode from recognised University.
  • Admission on the basis of entrance exams by respective University.
  • Post Graduate entrance criteria requires to be compulsory registered member of National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP).

Duration of the course 2 years or 4 semesters.

3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nutrition and Dietetics The Ph.D. program in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, offered by the Faculty of Allied and Healthcare Professionals, is open to full-time and part-time external candidates affiliated with SDUAHER-approved research centers/institutions.

Eligibility Criteria as per UGC Norms

  • Candidates must have passed Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics /M.Sc in Food & Nutrition with 55% marks
  • Admission on the basis of entrance exams by respective University

Part-Time Ph.D.

However, part-time candidates must typically be employed in a relevant field (e.g., in a research institution or healthcare setting) and should be allowed to pursue Ph.D. research alongside their professional work.
